What Is A Diamond?
Before we hop into all things daisy, let’s have a quick refresher on diamonds! The diamond ranks a 10 on the Mohs scale and given that, it’s the highest rated stone of them all. Not only is it the strongest mineral on Earth, it is great in terms of durability and sparkle!

Diamond Meaning
The meaning of the diamond is quite fitting given what the Ancient Greeks referred to it as, adamas, which translates to “invincible” and “indestructible”. Moreover, since it is said that the diamond is the “stone of invincibility”, it will bring you all the courage and fortitude to take on any obstacle that comes your way!
What Is A Daisy?
Flower power time! Belonging to one of the largest plant families, the aster family (aka asteraceae), the daisy was classified by botanist Dietrich Giseke in the late 1700’s and its name has a unique origin. This birth flower stems from the old English language, “day’s eye”. What does this mean exactly? This is referring to the flower’s habits because the petals open in the day and they close at night! How cool is that?!
Additionally, the daisy is native to Europe and Africa, but it eventually naturalized here in North America. This birth flower is made up of not one, but two, flowers - how cool is that?! The center eye (the disc floret) is a collection of tiny florets and the petals (the ray floret), come from the center that kind of mimics the appearance of the sun! While you may be familiar with this flowers’ white and yellow appearance, there are actually three other colors that this flower comes in: yellow, pink and red! Each color represents something different, which we’ll get into in just a few.
