Choosing The Right Size For Your Ring Style

While it’s recommended to choose your true fit when purchasing your ring, there are some instances where you may have to size up or down depending on the band thickness or style of the ring to achieve the most comfortable fit.

Wide Bands

If your desired ring is wider than 7mm, and the ring sizer you tried on is 6mm or under in width, order about 1/4 size larger. If your desired ring is wider than 9mm, order about 1/2 size larger than true size. This will allow enough space to bend the finger.

Thin Rings (Under 2mm)

A thin-style ring will "feel" bigger even though it measures accurately so for rings under 2mm, we recommend ordering your ring 1/4 smaller than true size. If you plan on stacking more than two rings together, we suggest ordering true size.

Stacking Rings

Order true ring size if each band is 2mm or thinner. Order 1/2 size larger for bands wider than 2mm and if you plan on stacking at least three rings together. The reason for ordering the larger sizes is because the wider the rings stack, the more you need space for flexibility.

Custom Design FAQs

What kind of changes can I request in my design revisions?

If revisions are needed, please allow 1-3 business days for us to email you the new CAD; you are allowed up to 3 sessions of changes.

Please note, design changes can only be minor aesthetic changes, such as adjusting the basket height, angles of the arms, width of band, etc... If there is additional/less material and labor needed for the design changes, we will adjust the pricing within market value.

For all major design changes, such as: shape of stone, size of the stone, or anything that requires complete rebuilding of the ring from ground up, you will be charged for a complete CAD rebuild.

For further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are always here to help!

Do I need to pay extra for design changes?

If your design changes are only minor aesthetic changes, such as dropping the basket, adjusting the angles of the ring, the width of the band etc... there are no additional charges for the adjustments. You are allowed up to 3 rounds.

There will be a charge if we need to completely reconstruct the CAD, ie going from a solitaire with no accent stones to a flower designed halo with micropave diamonds. This requires additional resources and time.

How long does the process take?

Our standard turnaround time for custom design process is 4-6 weeks from design to finish. With our Rush Custom Express option (additional charge), the turnaround time can be reduced to 2.5-4 weeks; response time permitting. We want you to see it as bad as you want to see it!

Do I need to live in Chicago to order a custom ring?

Nope! A majority of our custom projects, a fine 80%, are all done via internet. Our team of experts personally discuss all design details with you through email and/or phone consultations. Once all details are collected and finalized, we migrate all specifics into a custom invoice. We are particular about being particular!

What is the average cost for a custom ring?

The starting price for our CAD fee is $150 and up. The custom fee is dependent on the amount of time required for the designing process and CAD build out. Our average price for our custom engagement rings ranges from $1,500-$6,000 USD.

For further assistance, please feel free to reach out. We'd love to walk you through our process!

How do I pay?

We accept all major credit cards, cash (in store), Paypal, and financing. All projects are launched when the project is at least 50% funded. Finished projects are shipped when the final balance is paid in full. All rushed projects must be fully funded prior to launch.

To ensure shipping is not delayed, we highly suggest making the final payments at least 1 week prior to the finish date, as some companies can take up to 1 week for processing payments.

Do you ship internationally?

We sure do! At least 20% of our orders are shipped internationally. All our packages, both domestic and international, are fully insured with an adult signature requirement for release.

For all our international friends, please be aware that you are responsible for your country's duties, taxes, and/or other importing fees. Each country has different procedures and fees for importing. We encourage generous research to ensure there are no hidden surprises.
