Should I Be Looking At Engagement Rings With My Other Half?
Of course you can! There truly is nothing wrong with bringing the love of your life with you to your consultation. But wait...won’t that blow the surprise?! Not necessarily. This would be a great opportunity for you to snag some ideas on the type of engagement ring they want. Your other half may narrow it down to three choices for you and then you can select one to propose with. Doing so will allow your partner to feel comfortable with the ring choice while still keeping on with the “surprise” tradition.
Another popular choice is that the receiver will choose the exact ring and we will send the information only to the proposer. This way, the receiver will 100% love the choice! Both options are actually really popular within our shop. Overall, there’s no harm and no foul with either options.
Who Else Could I Bring?
There are no rules when it comes to who you bring to your consultation! Many times, people often bring a parent, their future in-laws, siblings, or even friends. The choice is yours. We are happy to accommodate and pull up some extra chairs at our studio so that you can experience this special moment with your guests!
Consultations
At our shop, you can walk-in or schedule a one-on-one consultation-style appointment where you will sit down with one of our experienced design consultants. Here you will discuss what you’re looking for and of course, try on our rings. We pull out our samples based on what your engagement ring style, cut, and gemstone preference is. If you’re unsure about what you’re looking for, no worries - we are always happy to assist. Let us know anything that can lead us in the direction of what you may like and we’ll do the rest of heavy lifting!
Helpful Reminder
While sharing your ring experience with others is awesome, there are two important things to keep in mind: be sure to voice what you want and listen to your heart. If your future spouse has mentioned or has their heart set on a particular ring style, gemstone, etc., listen to what they are asking for. Just because you may like a certain style doesn’t mean they may feel the same way. You don’t want to confuse them come proposal time with something they never mentioned. Our end goal is to try to find something that makes the receiver happy while also satisfying everyone who is supporting your engagement moment.
If you’re picking out your own ring and have others with you, remember to listen to your heart. Sometimes having too many opinions can be overwhelming if they don’t share the same ring taste as you. Just remember that this is your special piece that you will be wearing for the rest of your life - choose the one that speaks to you the most!
