How to Pack Your Ring For Repair

Is your ring in need of some fixin’ or a touch up? Well this would be a fabulous time to send it on in to our shop for a little TLC! We’re here to help you Rosettes with a simple guide on how to ship in your ring for a repair. We’re your fairy godmother and want to make sure your ring is in tip top shape. Let’s get to it!

How to Ship My Ring

It’s simple and easy! To start, you must send an email to repairs@loveandpromisejewelers.com. This is crucial to ensure we know there is an incoming shipment. Once you send the email, you will be provided a return authorization number and instructions on how to safely ship your ring to us for repair. Please be aware that repairs/alterations take about 2 weeks to complete, unless otherwise specified.

Reminder

Please bear this in mind! Our warranty is voided if your jewelry was brought to another jeweler for any alterations (sizing, work done, etc). There may be charges for additional repair work needed for the previously altered ring.

If You Are Sending Your Ring In For Sizing

We offer 1 free resizing within 3 months of purchase (this does not include our “Chic Classics Collection”). If your ring falls into the size 3.5-8 range and is in need of an adjustment, you will not be charged. However, you are responsible for shipping to and from our studio. If your ring happens to be bigger or smaller than our standard 3.5-8 ring size, we will charge market price for the size adjustment.
For the Chic Classics Collection, you have 30 days to exchange the ring size for only the price difference between the listed sizes. After the 30 days, there will be labor fees plus the additional materials needed for the size adjustment.

Before You Ship

Taking photos of your ring is also important. Be sure to take pics from different angles and tell us exactly what it is that you are looking to be fixed. We will surely go ahead and fix your requests!
Not only is taking photos important, you’ll want to make sure your ring is safe and secure before you seal up the box! We recommend placing your ring in a ziploc bag and then place that within a sturdy jewelry box. This way your pretty piece will not go anywhere. We don’t want any loose jewelry pieces floating about!
Not only do you have to send us your ring, we will need some other important things sent our way too! Additionally, an original copy of your receipt as well as a copy of the signed DocuSign will need to be included with your package.
It is also best to make sure that the box that you ship the ring in doesn’t say anything pertaining to jewelry. Such words will make your package an easy target for theft! That is definitely not a good thing to deal with. We don’t want your ring to be stolen!

How Often to Send In Your Ring for Cleanings/Tightenings

Like anything you value, you always want to make sure that it is in good condition. That is no different when it comes to your ring! We recommend sending in your ring into our shop every 3-6 months for a cleaning and tightening.
Why in that timeframe you may ask? Some rings and stones are more susceptible to loosening and/or damage if the proper care is not taken. That’s why having your ring inspected within that time frame will ensure that the item is in good shape! It is important to us your jewelry from us is always in optimal condition because we want your jewelry to last a lifetime.
