How Did You Meet Each Other?
Bumble! We met on the app in March 2019, and our first date was April 25, 2019.
Was It “Love At First Sight”?
No, we are very logical people. Alex is an engineer; I am a Healthcare IT consultant. We had
our first date, and genuinely enjoyed each other’s company, and by the end of Summer 2019
we knew we were in love.
How Would You Describe Each Other In 3 Words?
Britt- Intelligent, Passionate, Kind Hearted
Alex- Devoted, Kind, Supportive
How/When Did You Know That You Were “The One” For Each Other?
Britt- Alex and I have been through many challenges in our 3.5 year relationship. In February
2020 my Dad Jose (who was my best friend) passed away. Alex stepped in and was incredibly
supportive and kind to my family and I during this difficult time. In January 2021 I was
diagnosed with advanced stage cancer, and Alex again was incredibly supportive of me during
all phases of treatment. He even shaved my head for me and made me nothing but beautiful
while I was in treatment and not feeling my best. When we moved in together in Feb 2021, I
knew I wanted to be his wife. To be loved by him is an honor, and I want to do it for the rest
of my life.
Alex- I knew Britt was the one by the end of our first summer together (2019). We spent that
summer visiting our favorites places (Narragansett, RI, Boston, MA, Breweries, favorite
restaurants) and got to know each other through our shared experiences. It was the best
summer of my life, and I knew I wanted to continue that feeling. Once we moved in together
in Feb 2021, I was ready to propose. We held off for a few months while Britt was in
treatment but ultimately decided now was the perfect time to make it official.
How Did The Proposal Happen?
We planned a vacation to Jamaica in September 2022. We stayed at the Couples Tower Isle
Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. We scheduled a private beach dinner at the beginning of the
trip. Just as we were about to sit down he told me he said something to ask me, and got down
on one knee. It was beautiful and romantic, the best yes of my life!
What Ring Did You Get From Us?
Wilma
What About The Ring Caught Your Eye? Is There Any Significance Behind Why You Picked The Ring That You Did?
Emerald shaped rings were on the top of my list. I love how classic they are, and how the
facets of the stone bounce off light. The way it shines in the sun is breathtaking.
Did You Always Have An Idea In Mind Of What Ring Style You Wanted Or Did It Change Over Time?
I was set on either oval or emerald shaped center stones, with a diamond band. The only rule
was absolutely no pear shapes (no offense to anyone who loves them) but they are not my
style. I wanted something that would look good individually, and cohesive as a set. I can not
wait to meet with your team for the wedding band process!
What Are You Looking Forward To The Most About Your Wedding Day Or Marriage In General?
Britt- I am looking forward to creating a legacy and a life together. To grow in love and create
an environment where our friends and family can feel how much we care and support each
other.
Alex- sharing a life and experiences together! Knowing you get to grow together with your
best friend.
Do You Have Any Advice For Couples In Regards To Marriage, Love, Or Relationships?
Britt - Communication is key. Build a friendship. Support each other’s interests.
Alex - Listening to each other is important. Be attentive to each other’s needs, and always
make her a coffee first thing in the morning.
